Milkshakes

March 18, 2004 · Leave a Comment

Milkshakes are entirely under-appreciated. Ice cream, milk, vanilla syrup, mint chocolate chip … just so good.

I would like to see people making use of the milkshake as a meal. Accompanied, perhaps, by french fries. Onion rings are also acceptable, provided there is more onion than batter in your ring.

I’m going to get one right now.

Suck it, Old Man Winter

I refuse to deal with snow. When I wake up, there will be no more snow outside. I won’t have to put on boots to walk my dog and he won’t leave wet doggie footprints on my bed. We’ll sleep with the windows open and wake up to sunshine and birds signing. If this is not the case, we are going to stay in bed until Spring comes. The dog and I have plenty of supplies.

Being drunk…

March 9, 2004 · Leave a Comment

getting drunk is more fun than being drunk, says Meghan.

i can’t hear you, because I’m drunk, say I.

go to bed, says Megs.

ah, yes, that would be the smart thing to do, I reply.

well, you’re smart, she says.

but, as we both, know, most often I fail to do the smart things, I tell her.

you’re drunk, she laughs.

or maybe, I’m just sober in a drunk world. a reassuring thought, no?
